New Senior Hires

SciDev has made two senior hires to support the company’s growth and business development activities. This is in addition to the team which was acquired through the recent acquisition of ProSol Australia, which includes ProSol Australia Director Ben Gill and Technical Account Manager Terry McHugh.

New Chief Operating Officer: Dale Barron

Dale brings to SciDev 25 years’ experience in the mining, water treatment, construction and oil sectors having first worked for Allied Colloids, then Ciba, BASF and most recently Clariant. Dale has held various roles in sales, marketing and general management, based in Indonesia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. His last role was Country Head Australia and New Zealand, and Head of Mining Asia for Clariant. Dale will use this experience and strong customer focus to support the growth of the SciDev business.

New Engineering Product Manager: Thomas Rivett

Thomas is an experienced engineer, having started his career with Rio Tinto North Parkes, becoming Metallurgy Superintendent before moving to Outotec as Head of Technical Support and Thickener Services and later he held the position of Process Engineer at Weir. Most recently, Thomas worked for CleanTeq as a senior metallurgist in Parkes NSW. Thomas will be focused on further developing the OptiFlox® system for use in other new customer sites and new industries.
